Newport Material's proposed state-of-the-art asphalt manufacturing facility will be located at 20 Commerce Way in Westford, Massachusetts, in an active industrial area. The facility will produce industrial grade asphalt  for public agencies and private companies across the region. Unlike the open bin process of older “batch style” plants, Newport Materials will utilize a safer, more efficient, fully automated, “closed loop” process that produces no waste by-products. The facility will meet or exceed all state/federal operating regulations and is an “as of right” use under the site’s Industrial A (IA) zoning designation. (representative facility pictured)
